Activity-led online resource sets
The activities focus on writing, reading, listening and speaking in academic situations and in particular:
- understanding (reading, listening)
- production (writing, speaking)
- interaction (writing, speaking)
- independent learning strategies
- communication strategies
- study skills (online learning, research, organisation)
- language knowledge and awareness (grammar, vocabulary and appropriacy in academic writing)
All of our activities are designed using high-quality, activity-based multimedia materials which can be accessed via Blackboard and enhanced by the use of audio, Flash animation and interactive exercises. The pedagogy behind our materials encourages the learner to reflect on the learning process.
- Our materials include guided activities, feedback, hints and comments, links to reference materials and related internet sites
- Each online session is designed to take between 30-45 minutes
- Our materials can be used in independent study or in a blended, classroom situation
- The resources conform to international accessibility and interoperability guidelines and all work on broadband and modem based internet access
