Instructions on how to SELF-ENROL on the
English for Academic Purposes Toolkit
University of Southampton only
1. Go to www.blackboard.soton.ac.uk.
2. Log in with your ISS name and password.
3. Select the COURSES tab at the top of your screen and when this appears select Browse Course Catalog on the right side of the screen.
4. Under Search Catalog select ID in the first drop down box and type ISOR in the following box. Then select Go.
5. After a moment the resource set will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click on the ENROL button on the right side, then confirm by selecting 'submit' and then 'OK' - you will then have self enrolled to the EAP Toolkit learning materials on Blackboard.
6. To view the interactive materials click on the link to Learning materials on the left side of the Blackboard screen - this will take you directly to a set of skills folders. Select a skill folder and then choose an item of learning material to open. Click on the title of the item to open it.
7. Please note that some of these interactive learning materials contain audio files and activities built in Flash. Your computer will need to have Flash 6 installed and you will also need to be connected to a headset for some of the listening materials.
